Throughout the year, the Butterfly House will offer programs to encourage mindfulness and wellness for the mind, body and soul. We will offer classes involving exercise, art, education and more!

Adult Yoga Classes

We are offering monthly yoga classes, taught by our friends from Yoga Buzz.  Enjoy an hour-long, all-levels yoga class. Beginners are encouraged to join. Classes will be held indoors, and students are invited to a pre-practice meditative stroll through our Tropical Conservatory to see our flying butterflies. Doors open at 6 p.m. for pre-practice meditative stroll.

Cocoa and Canvas


For families with kids 6 and up. You and your family are formally invited to enjoy an afternoon of cocoa and painting. No prior painting skills necessary. Follow along with an instructor to learn how to paint a colorful butterfly on canvas! All painting supplies and cocoa provided.

A Missouri Botanical Garden certified instructor joins us for a night of relaxation and painting! Everyone will learn how to expertly paint a colorful work of art on canvas. Explore the Conservatory at night and enjoy wines from local vendors and light snacks too. This event is for adults 21 and up and requires advance reservations.

Soapmaking 101

bh_Soapmaking101_260Soap-making 101 is an introductory workshop in which you will learn the basics of how to make soap from scratch from an HSCG-certified soap-maker. You will hear a brief history of soap-making as well as how to properly use the tools and equipment to make your own soap. Each participant will take home approximately one bar of handmade soap.
