Volunteer and Internship Opportunities

New Volunteer Opportunities:

Green Living Class Assistants: Love our classes? We need assistants to monitor our spring and summer green education classes. Class assistants stay for the entire class and help presenters set-up their materials, greet and check-in registered participants, collect evaluation surveys and assist with clean up. Did we mention that you get to attend the class for free? Topics of classes and experiences vary, but all focus on green living and sustainability concepts.

Save the Date! for the Green Homes Festival on Saturday, June 3! We will have a variety of volunteer positions at our signature event.

If you are interested in signing up for this volunteer while you learn opportunity, email Simon Warren or call (314) 577-0281.

Intern Opportunities:

The EarthWays Center has three unpaid Internship Positions available for the winter/spring of 2017. Come join our team and learn about sustainability from the EarthWays Center staff.  Each internship requires approximately 20 hours per week.

The positions are:

Energy Efficiency Programs/Sunflower+ Internship: Support and develop the Sunflower+ Project: STL, which focuses on short-term sustainable use of vacant urban land in the city of St. Louis; and help to operate the Energy Efficiency Programs, which help broaden the reach of energy efficiency initiatives throughout the region.

Marketing Intern and Green Team Internship: Interested in marketing AND sustainability? Assist in the planning, preparation, promotion, and production of the Green Homes Festival, and support the Garden’s Green Team, TerraCycling efforts, and social media.

Sustainability Education Intern: Work closely with the EarthWays Center education staff to develop curriculum and work in classrooms with students from around the St. Louis region on a variety of sustainability and environmental topics.

More information on each internship and instructions on how to apply can be found here.

If you have additional questions please contact Kat Golden or call (314) 577-0207.
