Despite the rather twiggy images of this plant on its PlantFinder page, this is a terrifically handsome dwarf holly. Ultimately growing twice as wide as high, it is densely clothed in small, glossy, dark green leaves that are very attractive in winter. Planting in Saint Louis... protected from the coldest winter winds... and watered every 12-14 days in winter... will much better insure foliage density. This little holly looks great at the front of garden borders... and planted close enough to sitting areas or entries to appreciate the delicacy of its beauty.
